Ballet for Adults

Work on your body alignment, build an active strong core, and gain an active flexibility for a wider range of movement through our adult ballet classes and contemporary dance classes (in collaboration with Sigma Collective Space). Whether you are a complete beginner, have some experience in ballet, used to take ballet but stopped, or wish to supplement your dance practice with a more dedicated  fundamental, there is a class for you.

BALLET INTRODUCTORY COURSE

This is an 8-week course suitable for those who are new to dance and wish to learn some basics of ballet. In this course you will be introduced to the principles of classical ballet such as body alignment, weight placement, turn out, use of arms and learn basic ballet exercises and coordinations.

 

Designed to introduce ballet to beginners, this course will equip you with fundamentals allowing you to gain body awareness, sensitivity, strength and poise through progressive barre and centre work consisting of simple port de bras, centre practice, adage, petit allergro and grand allergro.

CONTEMPORARY INTRODUCTORY COURSE
(Sigma Collective Space)

This is a one-off 8-week course suitable for those who are new to dance and wish to learn some basics of contemporary dance, be it for self-improvement or simply to pick up dance! Principles of breath in movements, release, control, core engagement, spirals, lines, transfer of weight, etc. will be taught in the course.

Designed to introduce contemporary dance to beginners through a series of simple progressive exercises, expect to gain heightened sensory awareness and better coordination, develop a more active body for a healthier body and mind, as well as attain a little foundation in dance.

BALLET INTRO

This class is suitable for those who have completed the ballet introductory course or are relatively new to dance and wish to continue building on the basics of ballet through weekly classes.

 

Designed to allow beginners to practise ballet in a conducive environment, this class will allow you to work on your fundamentals, as you gain more body awareness, build strength, improve flexibility, and develop better body alignment – through progressive barre and centre work.

BALLET BEGINNER 2

This class is an open class suitable for dancers with at least 3 years of consistent ballet training, dancers who are proficient in other dance genres that include basic ballet coordinations in their practice, or those of you who were active once but stopped ballet and now wish to return to dancing again.

 

This class will provide a regular ballet class for you to constantly work on your ballet technique, allowing you to develop better control, strength and flexibility.

Regular Single Class, 4-Class Pack, and 10-Class Pack are available for purchase.
